Call of Duty: World at War Surpasses 11 Million Units Sold Worldwide

It prints money!

Posting on the official Call of Duty website, Activision and Treyarch announced that Call of Duty: World at War has sold 11 million units worldwide since the game launched in November 2008. The sales numbers are across all platforms.

In addition, the two also announced that the first map pack for the game’s multiplayer component sold a whopping two million units.

While the single-player in World at War was not for me, I found that the multiplayer was a good representation of Call of Duty 4’s. I did not get as hooked with World at War as I did with 4 — but it’s good to see quality titles achieve the sales they deserve.

Congratulations to Treyarch on the big hit!
