Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime, responding to a number of fan criticisms, said that the company listens to its fans and takes their criticism and praise to heart.
“We listen to our fans all the time,” Fils-Aime said. “Nintendo fans are some of the most passionate in the world, and believe me, they make their opinions heard.”
The specific fan that Fils-Aime addressed criticized Nintendo’s friend code system, lack of storage space on the Wii, voice chat functionality and Nintendo’s online presence. Fils-Aime did not comment on the specific critiques, saying that Nintendo is “on record for each of the items you [the reader] cite.” His only comment on the matter was that Nintendo takes that feedback from fans and “[keeps] those feelings in mind as we plan ahead,” and pointed to the US launch of Club Nintendo as a testament to that.
