Blizzard Entertainment has announced today that the mega-successful MMORPG has hit 11.5 million subscribers worldwide.

The company said that this new high was hit following the release of the new World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.

Blizzard also announced that the expansion sold 4 million units during its first month on retail shelves, breaking records from the last record holder: The Burning Crusades expansion to World of Warcraft.
