Electronics Arts announced today that browser-based Battlefield Heroes has reached two million registered users.
To celebrate the two million member mark, EA announced that it would be releasing a tentatively titled “Heroes of the Fall” map. From now until Sept. 30, EA is asking community members to submit names for the map through the Battlefield Heroes website.
A new map was not the only thing that would be added to Battlefield Heroes.
“Along with this new map, ‘Heroes of the Fall’ includes a slew of changes including upgrades of the Gunner class and improvements to the friends system,” said Ben Cousins, General Manager, Battlefield Heroes team in an EA press release. “We’ve also added a brand new ranking system for the game – players can earn cool new titles for their heroes as they play – showing everyone on the battlefield how dedicated they are.”
While EA did provide how many players have signed up to play the game, it did not provide how many players are considered active.
