Activision announced its February song line-up for Guitar Hero: World Tour, and there are definitely a couple songs in here that are making me want to break and finally pick up the game.
Well, one song–”New Slang”, by The Shins. It will be apart of the Acoustic Pack, which will also feature Incubus’ “Drive” and Ryan Adams’ “Wonderwall”. Each song can be purchased individually for $2 (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.50 of all of them (440 Microsoft Points). The Acoustic Pack is set for release February 12th.
A week later, Paul McCartney’s Wings will get the three song track-pack treatment–featuring “Junior’s Farm,” “Hi Hi Hi,” and “Jet”. On February 26th, Bob Seger will also get three songs on Guitar Hero: World Tour, with “Old Time Rock and Roll,” “Her Strut,” and “Get Out of Denver”.
Pricing for the Wings and Seger packs (both individual and grouped) are the same as the Acoustic Pack.

I got Guitar Hero over Rock Band 2 due to release dates in the UK. So far the choice has been a good one except the lack of half decent DLC. I am hoping this is the start of some good songs coming to the game.
