With the recent success of UFC 2009 Undisputed, this actually makes quite a bit of sense. Obviously, EA’s upcoming MMA title will be rivaling the UFC games, and people like money, so the UFC would rather their fighters stay away from their upcoming rival.

The rumors started on the mixedmartialarts.com forums, but have neither been confirmed or denied.

This sounds like it could pose quite a problem for MMA. Will they take the approach of just a bunch of fictional fighters? That seems like their only option if this proves to be true.
