Fallout 3 Rated MA 15+ By OFLC in Australia

Good news for Aussie gamers: Fallout 3 has received classification by the Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC), the governing body that rates the suitability of video games in Australia.

The game received a MA 15+ from the board for strong violence, drug references and coarse language. Last month, the game had been refused classification by the same board, citing it’s “real-world” depiction of drug use.

It has been rumored that Bethesda, the developer behind the game, had to cut out references to morphine in order to be rated by the OFLC.

That it has been rated should be proof enough that all “offending” material in the game was removed in order for it to be sold down under.
