Earlier at PAX while playing the Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time demo, I asked the Sony representative when we can expect a bigger marketing push for the title.
Up to this point, after all, the game’s visibility has been next to nothing. In fact, a while back I remarked that I did not even remember the title of game.
The representative said that the game’s launch would coincide with Sony’s overall bigger marketing push on the PlayStation 3, starting with the “It Only Does Everything” advertisements.
Regardless of the push that it will or will not get (because, this is, of course, the word of only one rep) it is strange that they’ll be waiting until the last minute to get the awareness out there, instead of building up hype.
We’ll see how it pans out.
