Guitar Hero: Smash Hits Review (Xbox 360)
Ever since the first Guitar Hero blew us away in 2005, the world has been inundated with countless Guitar Hero titles. After the release of three direct sequels, countless spins-offs, and even a number of portable versions, the franchise has built up quite a bit of a song catalogue for itself. With Guitar Hero: Smash Hits, Activision was looking to cash in on that song catalogue, but unfortunately, that’s about all the game feels like. Guitar Hero: Smash Hits might actually be a cash-in, but on the surface, it isn’t the worst deal imaginable. There are 48 songs taken from Guitar ...
Versus: UFC 2009 Undisputed vs. Fight Night Round 4
Yet again, two games deserving some comparing and contrasting have been recently released. While they might not be the typical candidates for such an article, UFC 2009 Undisputed and Fight Night Round 4 have a very similar core idea in that your main goal is to beat your opponent to a pulp. Now most people could probably agree on the fact that controls are the most important aspect of any game based around fighting. If the game is a pain to control, then the whole thing will crumble. Fight Night Round 4 Review (Xbox 360)
Fight Night Round 3 was one of the first games to really show what the next generation of consoles was capable of doing. The graphics were mind-blowing, the gameplay was easy and accessible, and above all else, it was an extremely fun boxing game. Now, we have finally got a sequel to this bombshell, and for the most part, it does a great job of refining and improving on the already very polished formula of Fight Night. The main difference between Fight Night Round 4 and its predecessor is that now, fighting styles are more relevant than ever. So for example, ...
